On Come Dine With Me, there have been a few instances of raw chicken, but Edith and Martin’s occurred at a moment when emotions were already high.
They also kept saying that the chicken had been in the oven for a long time, which is perhaps the most concerning aspect. How did it still turn out so pink?
Indian sweets with a’skin’ flavor
Charles has now been added to our list of Come Dine With Me cheaters after ordering bhajis from the neighborhood bar.
And it wasn’t even the worst of his transgressions.
He presented a dessert with Indian influences that was likened to flesh.

Float of Irn-Bru
The idea had come to me. It’s like an ice cream float with a Scottish twist.
However, things did not proceed as planned. The ice cream appeared to sink and melt, leaving a curdled Irn-Bru on the plate.
Thai soup with no broth
Not the worst item on the list, but soup must have the consistency of, well, soup.
Rob promised a spicy Thai soup but inadvertently allowed all of the liquid to soak up, resulting in a boring vegetable and chicken pieces dish.
Dry beef
This one, like Rob’s soup, isn’t a complete catastrophe.
Everything was prepared to perfection; it simply wouldn’t be a satisfying dinner unless you had enough of beverages on hand to quench your thirst.
Nonetheless, he included protein and veggies, two of the most essential dietary categories, in the meal.
Almost everything Sophie and Lucas prepared
Sophie and Lucas of Couples Come Dine With Me wanted their theme to be ‘looks may be deceptive,’ with cherry coke chicken wings and bacon roly-poly.
Unfortunately for them, their visitors did indeed judge a book by its cover – and their judgment appeared reasonable.
Chicken with toothpicks on the side
It should be a general guideline that your meals do not cause harm to your visitors.
Kate receives extra points for referring to the toothpicks in her meal as “cocktail sticks” – it sounds less intimidating.
A chocolate mousse that necessitated the use of a straw
The consistency of chocolate mousse should never be like this.
It was clear from watching it trickle from the spoons that not everything had gone according to plan.
Bonus points for being so kind as to provide visitors with a straw to slurp it all up.
Steaks cooked in the microwave
Claire’s steak americana is deserving of a spot on the list.
She cooks the steak with a lot of barbeque sauce and pre-shredded cheese… Then it’s all thrown into the microwave.
What a colossal blunder.
Trifle with sausages
Annie Rose’s fascination with sausages is a social media favorite, and we couldn’t leave it off.
She used them in both her appetizer and main course – which is a lot, but acceptable – but then she combined sweet and savory flavors in a dessert that looks like it came straight from Friends. Anyone for Rachel’s beef trifle?
